Dr. Matthew Starling

Dr. Matthew Starling was raised in Southern California where he developed a strong passion for athletics and the outdoors. Both have been a large component throughout his life.  It began in Boy Scouts where eventually he received the highest honor of Eagle Scout.  At the start of high school, he became very passionate about wrestling.  He continued to wrestle throughout high school years and eventually began to run marathons.  

At the age of 18 he was first introduced to Chiropractic as one of his first jobs.  He was able to see the improvement in other’s health and wellness. The more time he spent watching people get healthier, the more he realized his calling was to help people achieve optimal wellness.  Following his high school graduation in 2009, he began his undergraduate education at California State University Los Angeles.

He started his chiropractic education at Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2013. While enrolled in school he received multiple certificates and qualifications. These certifications include applied kinesiology, personal training and the Webster Technique for pre-natal and pregnant women.  As a part of his internship he worked at California State University Northridge where he was in the Sports Medicine Department treating Division 1 college athletes. 

After graduating in 2017 he started his professional career in California where he had the opportunity to work alongside the head Physical Therapist for the Los Angeles Football Club. He has been able to work with a wide range of professions, office personnel and patients which has allowed him to have a well rounded approach to treating people. He and his wife moved to Virginia in 2018 be closer to family. They both enjoy exploring Virginia with their animals.
